This book was to start of seeing I didn’t need to by more stuff…even at Christmas.

The two books that started it all

Hi this is K and these two books started me on my journey into decluttering and organization 10 years ago. These are the two great reads that sparked a change in my life to reduce my material items to what I love and what is necessary to live a great and simple life.

As my perceptions started to changed as I read these books They had me curious about decluttering and organization. This curiosity made me want to dive deeper into the movement. After many personal edits on my material items over the years I have become better and better at honing my editing skills.

Since reading theses books I have taken things even farther and venture into Minimalism.  The good thing for me is that Minimalism isn’t this scary thing where you have only one fork, plate and bowl. It’s so different for everybody. It isn’t that you have the bare minimum but rather just what you need and what makes you happy. So the amount of “stuff” varies between each person.  Some people enjoy very sparse living and others don’t. I have significantly reduced my material items but I don’t have the sparse feel in my dwelling. You see, it’s very individual.

I highly recommend these two books to jump start your journey as well. They are excellent reads that go very fast and leave a big impact!

So grab these books and find your favorite reading nook….oh and bring snacks because your gonna be there awhile.
